Hiep Huatan has a strong background in the pharmaceutical industry, with extensive experience in various leadership roles. Hiep started their career at Pfizer in 1995, where they served as the Director and Head of Liquids and Solids Development. During their time at Pfizer, Hiep was also a Global Pharmaceutical Sciences Team Leader for Revatio. In 2006, Hiep joined Phoqus as the VP of R&D, where they were responsible for the CMC, Clinical and Regulatory activities. Hiep led the development of Chronocort and managed a group of external development consultants. In 2010, Hiep founded D3 Pharma Limited and took on the role of CEO. D3 Pharma is a Specialty Pharmaceutical Company focused on the research, development, and commercialization of high-strength vitamin D medicinal products. Hiep's pioneering work at D3 Pharma aims to address the significant unmet need for vitamin D deficiency treatment worldwide.
Hiep Huatan completed a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree in Pharmaceutics and Drug Design from the University of Nottingham from 1988 to 1991. This was followed by a PhD in Pharmaceutics - Polymeric drug delivery from The University of Manchester between 1992 and 1995.
