Edgar Rodríguez

Edgar Rodríguez has a diverse work experience in the field of GIS and application development. Edgar currently works as a GIS Developer at H2Safety Services Inc., where they support GIS initiatives and strategies by participating in system design, application development, and implementation projects. Edgar assists with creating and maintaining map services, deploying web mapping applications, and updating GIS datasets.

Prior to their current role, Edgar worked as a GIS Applications Developer at Midwest Surveys Inc., where they created and supported GIS solutions and web mapping applications using various tools and technologies such as ArcGIS Online, Portal, ArcGIS APIs, Python, .NET framework, and JavaScript. Edgar Rodríguez obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Universidad Nueva Esparta - UNE, where they studied from 1997 to 2002. Edgar later pursued a Bachelor of Applied Technology GIS in Geography from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) from 2015 to 2018.

In addition to their academic achievements, Edgar Rodríguez also holds several certifications. Edgar obtained the certification titled "Spatial Data Science: The New Frontier in Analytics" from Esri in December 2020. In January 2016, they obtained two certifications from Esri, namely "Python Scripting for Geoprocessing Workflows" and "Python Scripting for Map Automation." Prior to that, in December 2009, they obtained multiple certifications from IBM, including "IBM Certified Designer - Cognos 8/10 BI Reports," "IBM Certified Developer - Cognos 8/10 BI Metadata Models," "IBM Certified Solution Expert - Cognos 8 BI," "IBM Certified Solution Expert - Cognos BI," and "IBM Certified Administrator - Cognos 8/10 BI."
