Lead UAV pilot / Project Manager at H3 Dynamics

Mohamed Shakir has worked in a variety of roles in the oil and gas industry since 2009. Starting as an Assistant Quality Engineer at Systematic Certification & Networks, they conducted visual inspections of oil and gas pressure cylinders, supervised processes such as load testing, and carried out non-destructive testing. In 2010, they worked as a Technician at Kulicke & Soffa. From 2013 to 2014, they were a Workshop Technician 2 at Weatherford and a Drone Pilot at Keppel FELS Ltd. In this role, they integrated conventional inspection techniques with the use of a drone to inspect and assess condition of tall structures, conducted regular maintenance regime for hardware and software, and planned for upcoming flight paths to maximize battery time. Since 2017, they have been a Lead UAV Pilot and Project Manager at H3 Dynamics Holdings, where they build, tests, commissions, repairs in-house and off the shelf drones/UA Systems, generates flight plans for operations, drafts risk assessments for flights, and pilots drones for aerial photogrammetry, inspection, and research.

Mohamed Shakir studied at Kuo Chuan Pres. Sec School from 1998 to 2001. Mohamed then went on to pursue a Diploma in Mechatronic Engineering from Ngee Ann Polytechnic from 2002 to 2006. Additionally, they have obtained a Ship Supervisor Safety Course from ASMI and an Unmanned Aircraft Pilot License from the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore.
