As a bank teller from October 2011 to May 2012, they assisted personal bankers with tasks such as scanning documents and following up with customers. Shannon then became a sales and service associate from May 2012 to November 2012, helping customers with various banking needs. Shannon was promoted to a personal banker in November 2012, and later held the position of assistant branch manager from October 2013 to June 2015, where they managed branch operations, trained employees, and conducted meetings with the branch manager.

From June 2015 to February 2018, Shannon worked as a safe deposit box analyst at JPMorgan Chase & Co., responsible for auditing safe deposit box vaults at different Chase Banks and ensuring compliance with procedures and training.

In 2018, Shannon joined Haberfeld as an account executive, where they maintained strong client relationships with financial institutions, community banks, and credit unions nationwide. Shannon played a key role in implementing internal projects and processes while exploring marketing and profitability potential for new verticals.

Additionally, Shannon gained retail experience at Target, where they worked as a fulfillment team member from October 2020 to December 2021. Shannon served as a personal shopper, fulfilling orders through various channels and training new team members.

Shannon Poysa completed their Bachelor's degree in Business/Sociology from Nebraska Wesleyan University in the years 2006 to 2011. In June 2018, they obtained an Indoor Cycling Certificate from PowerCycle.
