Salamat Bashir

Salamat Bashir began their work experience in 1997 as a Trade Finance Officer at Bank Melli London. Salamat then moved on to Habib Bank AG Zurich, where they held the position of 2nd Vice President & Head of Trade Finance from July 1997 to November 2011. Salamat then joined Barclays Corporate as a VP Senior Operation Manager, overseeing International Trade Operations in Western Europe, Asia, and the Middle East from December 2011 to December 2014. Salamat returned to Habib Bank AG Zurich in January 2015 as Vice President, Head of Financial Institutions in Zurich, Switzerland. Currently, Salamat holds the position of Senior Vice President and Head of Financial Institutions at Habib Bank AG Zurich, starting in January 2018.

Salamat Bashir has a diverse education history spanning several years and institutions. In 1977 to 1982, they attended St. Franciscan High School in Lahore. Following that, in 1983 to 1984, they completed their Matriculation from Imtiaz Public High School in Lahore, focusing on science subjects. Salamat then pursued a further education in commerce, earning a B Com degree from Jinnah Islamia College of Commerce Lahore from 1987 to 1988.

Continuing their academic journey, Salamat obtained an F Sc degree from the Government College of Science in Lahore, specializing in pre-engineering, during the academic year of 1985 to 1986. Salamat further enhanced their educational qualifications by completing an MBA in marketing from Bahauddin Zakariya University between 1989 and 1991. Salamat'sMBA studies specifically emphasized distinctions in sales, management, and global business.

Salamat has also actively pursued professional certifications. In 2013, they earned the Certified International Trade Advisor (CITA) qualification from the Institute of Export in the UK, which enhanced their expertise in international trade. Additionally, in 2021, they completed the Oxford Executive Leadership Programme from Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford. This executive education focused on organizational leadership, further equipping Salamat with valuable skills for their career advancement.
