Sateesh Balani

Sateesh Balani, CFA has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and companies. Sateesh has worked as a Product Head at Habib Bank AG Zurich since May 2023. Prior to that, they served as the Head of Research at Providus Capital Ltd from February 2021 to May 2023. From September 2018 to September 2021, they held the position of Director at CFA Society Pakistan.

In addition, Sateesh has also worked as a Director of Research at Ismail Iqbal Securities (Pvt.) Limited from January 2020 to February 2021. Sateesh has also held the role of Head of Research at HBL Asset Management, where they worked from September 2017 to January 2020.

Before joining HBL Asset Management, they worked as a Business Analyst at Engro Corp from January 2015 to September 2017, where they were responsible for evaluating power sector opportunities. Sateesh also gained valuable experience as a Senior Analyst and Research Analyst at Elixir Securities, where they covered various sectors and companies listed on the Karachi Stock Exchange.

Sateesh started their career as an Internee at Taurus Securities in 2010 and subsequently served as an Internee at National Bank of Pakistan in 2009 and JS Global Capital Ltd in 2008. Prior to their MBA, they earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) with Honors in Finance from the same institute, from 2006 to 2010. Sateesh also completed their pre-medical education with an Intermediate degree from Bahria College N.O.R.E-1 in 2006, and their secondary education from St. Patrick's High School in 2004, with a focus on science.

In addition to their educational achievements, Sateesh Balani also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter from the CFA Institute, which they obtained in April 2015. Sateesh also participated in the CFA Institute 2016 Research Challenge as a volunteer, further showcasing their commitment and involvement in the field of finance.
