Arthur Garipov is the current Chief Risk Officer at Habib Canadian Bank. Arthur has over fifteen years of experience in the banking industry, with a focus on risk management and internal control.

Garipov began their career in banking in 1996 as the Deputy Head of Internal Control and Audit at Bank Vozrozhdeniye in Moscow. In this role, they were responsible for designing and implementing a framework for AML/ATF Compliance, which included reporting and self-assessment. Arthur also participated in and monitored the bank's transition to IFRS.

In 2003, Garipov was promoted to Head of Internal Control and Audit (Chief Audit Executive) at Russian Industrial Bank in Moscow. Arthur also oversaw the bank's transition to IFRS.

In 2006, Garipov joined TD Bank as a Basel II Project Business Consultant. In this role, they worked on controls around data collection processes, computation of capital adequacy ratios, and related schedules.

In their current role as Chief Risk Officer at Habib Canadian Bank, Garipov is responsible for overseeing all aspects of risk management for the bank.

Arthur Garipov has a Bachelor with Honours in Finance & Credit (Banking) from the Finance University under the Government of the Russian Federation and a Diploma with Honours in Telecommunication from the Oil College in Neftekamsk city.
