Syed Abu Tufail

Syed Abu Tufail is a seasoned IT executive with extensive experience in leading technological initiatives and managing IT environments. Currently serving as Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Habib Metropolitan Bank, a subsidiary of AG Zurich, since June 2013, Syed oversees the IT Division, focusing on infrastructure, core banking applications, and global connectivity, while directing a skilled team to support the bank's strategic objectives. Additionally, Syed has been the CEO of BiLOGiC Systems Pvt. Ltd. since May 2007, responsible for overall company management. Prior experience includes serving as Senior Vice President and Head of IT at Habib Bank AG Zurich from January 1992 to September 2006, managing their IT setup in Pakistan. Syed holds a BCS degree in Computer Science from the Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Institute of Science and Technology, obtained from 1980 to 1990.
