Andrew Gonzalez is a seasoned academic and researcher with extensive experience in biodiversity and ecology. Currently, Andrew serves as a Professor at McGill University since March 2013, and holds leadership roles as Co-Chair of the Group on Earth Observations Biodiversity Observation Network since January 2021 and Co-Director at the Quebec Centre for Biodiversity Science since 2009. Additionally, Andrew co-founded Habitat in September 2018. Prior academic positions include Maitres des Conferences at the University of Paris from September 1999 to March 2003. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Ecology from Imperial College London (1994-1998) and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Zoology/Animal Biology from the University of Nottingham (1991-1994).
