Habitat for Humanity Indonesia
Indah Mai Lestari is a dedicated community organizer currently employed by Habitat for Humanity Indonesia since May 2023, where responsibilities include supporting community and local government initiatives and enhancing community capacity for program implementation. Previous experience includes working as a data collector at Badan Pusat Statistik, focusing on data collection and coordination with local stakeholders from October 2022 to March 2023. Indah has also served as a community development intern and clinical social worker at Politeknik Kesejahteraan Sosial (POLTEKESOS), where interaction with local governments and community engagement were key roles. Earlier positions included serving as a teacher assistant and community worker, supporting social welfare practices and educational activities. Indah Mai Lestari holds a Sarjana Terapan/D4 degree in Social Work from POLTEKESOS, completed in 2021.

Aside from housing, Habitat Indonesia also participates in providing clean water and better sanitation system, as well as renovating and building schools. Families and individuals in need of a hand up partner with Habitat for Humanity to build or improve a place they can call home. Habitat homeowners help build their own homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage. Through financial support, volunteering or adding a voice to support affordable housing, everyone can help families achieve the strength, stability and self-reliance they need to build better lives for themselves.
