Michelle Wamsley

Michelle Wamsley has built a successful career in the field of advancement and development, working for various prominent organizations. Michelle is currently serving as the Chief Advancement Officer at Habitat for Humanity of Greater Charlottesville since July 2022. Before this role, they held positions at the University of Richmond, starting as the Assistant Vice President for Foundation, Corporate, and Government Relations in September 2009, and later transitioning to the role of Assistant Vice President for Academic Advancement and Strategic Priorities in September 2019. Prior to their time at the University of Richmond, they worked at the University of Virginia Health System as the Director of Foundation and Corporate Relations from 2005 to 2009, and as the Director of Individual Giving from 2001 to 2005. Michelle's career began at the University of Virginia, where they served as the Assistant Director of Development for the College of Arts & Sciences from 1997 to 2001. Michelle also gained experience at Clark University as the Associate Director of the Clark Fund in 1996-1997.

Michelle Wamsley earned their BA in English and Philosophy from the University of New Hampshire in 1996. Michelle then pursued their MPA in Public Administration at Virginia Tech from 2002 to 2012.
