John Lattimore

John Lattimore has a diverse work experience spanning across various organizations and roles. John started their career in 1999 as a Marketing/PR Coordinator at the Memphis Convention and Visitors Bureau. In 2001, they served as an Americorps Volunteer/Volunteer Coordinator at Knoxville Habitat for Humanity and also worked as a Group Leader at Americorps - Nevada Conservation Corps, where they led a 12-member chainsaw crew for forest fire risk reduction. From 2006 to 2010, they worked as an Architect/GreenSTUDIO Consultant at Hastings Architecture Associates. John then served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Clemson University from 2010 to 2014. In 2009, they became an Adjunct Professor at The University of Memphis, and in 2017, they took on the same role at the College of Charleston. Currently, John holds the position of Chief Programs Officer at Habitat for Humanity of Greenville County, starting in October 2021.

John Lattimore's education history begins in 1995 when they enrolled at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville for their Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Journalism. John completed this program in 1999. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued further education at the same institution and obtained a Master of Architecture (MArch) degree between 2003 and 2006.

Continuing their academic journey, Lattimore attended the University of Memphis from 2000 to 2008, where they earned a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Journalism. This period of study allowed him to gain expertise in the field of Journalism.

Lastly, Lattimore attended Clemson University from 2010 to 2014, where they successfully earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Planning, Design & Built Environment. This program provided him with advanced knowledge and skills in the area of planning, design, and the built environment.
