Audrey Johnston has extensive experience in policy, advocacy, and government relations, particularly within the housing sector. Currently serving as the Director of Rural Affairs at Habitat for Humanity International since January 2018, Audrey supports rural Habitat organizations in enhancing their policy engagement and leads advocacy efforts related to USDA Rural Development programs. Prior roles include Associate Director of Government Relations at Habitat for Humanity International, where rehabilitation of housing policies and public advocacy strategies were prioritized, and Policy Counsel at Rapoza Associates, focusing on legislative initiatives affecting rural housing. Additionally, Audrey has held various internships, including positions at the D.C. Rental Housing Commission and the Federal Bureau of Prisons. Audrey holds a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from George Mason University - Antonin Scalia Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and Psychology from Stephen F. Austin State University.
