J. Ronald Terwilliger is the current Director at Habitat for Humanity. J. has over fifteen years of experience working in the water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) sector.
Ronald began their career as a Camp/WASH Cluster Coordinator for Concern Worldwide from February 2003 to March 2005. J. then became a Program Development Coordinator for Plan International from April 2005 to February 2010. Ronald was then a WASH Advisor-Behaviour Change Communication-Part Time Secondment for SNV from March 2010 to July 2016. After that, they became a Program Management Specialist for USAID from August 2016 to September 2017. Most recently, Ronald was the National Coordinator for the Ministry of Water and Environment, Directorate of Water Resources Management in Uganda from October 2017 to July 2019.
Ronald has been instrumental in developing programs and initiatives that have had a positive impact on communities around the world. J. has raised millions of dollars to support WASH sector operations and has won numerous awards for their work. Ronald is a passionate advocate for improving access to clean water and sanitation facilities and works tirelessly to promote good hygiene practices.
J. Ronald Terwilliger started their educational career with a Bachelor of Environmental Management from Makerere University. J. then went on to earn a Master of Science in International Primary Health Care from UCL. Their most recent degree is a Master of Science in Human Resource Management and Development from The University of Manchester.
