Sindhu Rajan

Sindhu Rajan, PhD has a strong background in research and healthcare. Sindhu is the Founder and CEO of HabitNu, a company focused on scaling evidence-based programs for chronic disease prevention and management. HabitNu's diabetes prevention program is recognized by the Centers for Disease Control and fully covered by Medicare. Prior to this role, Rajan was a Research Faculty in Medicine (Endocrinology) at The University of Chicago from 2007 to 2013. Sindhu also served as a Post-doctoral Scholar in Pediatrics at The University of Chicago from 2004 to 2007. Before joining The University of Chicago, Rajan was a Post-doctoral Fellow at Yale School of Medicine from 2002 to 2004. Additionally, they were a Portfolio Company at Impact Engine from 2014 to 2015, during which time HabitNu (d.b.a Prana Diabetes) was an Impact Engine portfolio company.

Sindhu Rajan, PhD, holds a Ph.D. in Human Biology from The Philipp University of Marburg, which they obtained from 1998 to 2002. Prior to their doctoral studies, they pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Microbiology from the Indian Agricultural Research Institute, completing their degree between 1994 and 1997. Sindhu obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Agricultural Sciences from Kerala Agricultural University, Thrissur, from 1989 to 1994.
