Sharon Huerta is an accomplished executive in the publishing industry with extensive experience in sales management and marketing. Since July 2009, Sharon has served as Executive Director of Special Markets at Hachette Book Group, overseeing a team of six direct reports and 100+ external sales representatives, while actively selling to major accounts and managing departmental sales budgets. Previously, as Sales and Product Director at Hachette, Sharon was responsible for a significant portion of the Canadian business and developed key marketing strategies. Sharon's earlier roles include North American Sales Manager at Phaidon Press and Director of Field and International Sales at Harry N. Abrams, Inc., where Sharon managed diverse sales teams and implemented successful sales initiatives. Sharon began their career as a Sales Representative at Penguin Group USA and as a Sales Coordinator at Putumayo World Music. Sharon holds a Bachelor of Science in Communications and Marketing from The University of Texas at Austin.
