Gary Tou currently serves as an Engineering Manager at Hack Club, where responsibilities include growing a team focused on nonprofit fiscal sponsorship and actively hiring software engineers. Prior experience includes mentoring junior engineers in Ruby on Rails, conducting pair programming sessions, and leading feature development. Gary has also served as an Advisory Board Member for Computer Science & Business at Renton School District and worked as an SDE at Amazon, improving content detection for Alexa. As the Founder of synHacks, Gary launched a global hackathon and held leadership roles in Future Business Leaders of America, uniting students and fostering community engagement. Gary holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Seattle University and has an Associate in Arts & Sciences from Bellevue College.
