Jeffrey Zang

Jeffrey Zang is a Computer Science student at the University of Waterloo, expected to graduate in 2030. Currently serving as Co-Chair at Hack the 6ix, Jeffrey has successfully run Toronto's largest summer hackathon for over 400 participants on two occasions. As Operations Director, responsibilities included organizing food, workshops, judging, ceremonies, venue logistics, communications, and enhancing hacker experience. Previous roles include Founding Engineer at 10x, Software Engineer at Nokia, where work focused on a large language model trained on Confluence documents using Python, Software Developer at Feroot Security, responsible for a Vue.js browser extension, and Full Stack Developer at SportsPort, creating a MERN app connecting sports coaches with clients. Prior experience also includes developing a Vue.js database monitoring dashboard at uxSino. Jeffrey's educational background includes an OSSD with Advanced Placement courses from Laurel Heights Secondary School, completed in 2025.
