Ron Eddings

Ron Eddings has over a decade of experience in cybersecurity and has held various technical and leadership positions in the industry. Ron is currently the CEO and Executive Producer of Hacker Valley Media, a cybersecurity media company with multiple podcasts and video shows. Prior to this, they worked as the Creative Director of Education at Axonius and as the Detection and Response Sr. Manager at Marqeta. Ron has also worked as a Security Architect and Threat Intelligence professional at companies like Palo Alto Networks and Demisto. Earlier in their career, Ron worked as a Cyber Fusion Analyst at Intel and as a Security Researcher at McAfee. Ron's experience includes developing and implementing security solutions, policies, and guidelines, leading technical discussions with clients, automating security workflows with SOAR, and conducting research on the latest security threats and malicious content. Ron is also experienced in Python and JavaScript automation scripting and mentoring junior security engineers and analysts.

Ron Eddings obtained an A.A.S in Information Systems Security from Anne Arundel Community College in 2011 and earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Information Technology - Security from Western Governors University in 2014. In addition, they have obtained several certifications including a CCNA from Cisco in 2009, as well as Security+, Network+, CCNA Security, Convergence+, CEH, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence Nanodegree from various institutions between 2010 and 2018.
