Linh Dao Smooke

COO at HackerNoon

Linh Dao Smooke is currently the COO at HackerNoon. Prior to this, they were the regional marketing manager for Minerva in Asia, and before that, the founder of CKP Vietnam.

Linh has always been passionate about education and empowering young people. This led their to start The Creative Kid Project, a platform for Vietnamese middle-school students to engage in a creative and collaborative process of designing a project on topics that matter to them. The project was a huge success, and led to Linh expanding their work with Minerva University.

At Minerva, Linh helped build a top tier university experience from scratch, preparing global leaders for the 21st century. Her work there increased awareness about Minerva across China, Japan, Korea, India, Southeast Asia, and beyond.

Linh is now using their skills and experience to help make HackerNoon the go-to platform for tech and startup culture. Under their leadership, HackerNoon has grown rapidly, and is now one of the most popular sites on the internet.

Linh Dao Smooke is a graduate of Brown University, where they earned their B.A. in Development Studies. Linh also holds a Summer Certificate from the Global Trade and Development Program at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey. Linh Dao Smooke is an International Baccelaureate holder, with a focus in Math, English, Spanish, Vietnamese, Psychology, and Chemistry from UWC Mahindra College.

Their manager is David Smooke, Founder & CEO. They work with Limarc Ambalina - VP, Editorial, Utsav Jaiswal - VP, Business Development, and Kien Dao - Brand & Design Lead. A direct report to Linh Dao Smooke is and Hang Ngo - VP of Operations.
