Dave Hutchins

Dave Hutchins has over a decade of experience in the packaging industry. In 2003, they took a hiatus from college to serve in the US Army as an Operations Sergeant in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. In 2007, they began their career in the packaging industry as the Inside Sales Representative for Diablo Valley Packaging. Dave was then promoted to Logistics Manager, Import Manager, VP Global Operations and Procurement, and eventually Chief Operating Officer. In 2015, their company was acquired by Berlin Packaging, and they spent the next 6 months maintaining existing business during the integration. In 2017, they invested in a startup education company, Hackingtons, and served as the Director of Operations. In 2022, they created a consulting company, Devil Mountain Packaging, and re-entered the packaging world as an independent contractor. During their time as a consultant, they led the development of new product lines in rigid packaging for two client companies, resulting in hundreds of thousands of dollars of immediate incremental business in a sector outside their previous offerings.

Dave Hutchins received their Bachelor's degree in Politics and Economics from Saint Mary's College of California in 2005. Prior to that, they attended the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center from 1998 to 2000, where they completed the Korean Basic Language Course in Korean Language.
