Samuel Escapa Otani

Samuel Escapa Otani has a diverse work experience in the field of technology and engineering. Samuel currently holds the position of Chief Technology Officer at Slingshot since June 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Director of Engineering at Hack+ from July 2020. Samuel also co-founded and co-led Pinnacle SF, a competitive collegiate hackathon. In terms of their role at Zendesk, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer from March 2022 to May 2022, as a Software Engineer from April 2020 to March 2022, and as a Software Engineer Intern from June 2019 to April 2020. Samuel also served as the Director of Operations at Hack+ from February 2018 to January 2020, where they organized events and managed the team for HSHacks and Pinnacle. Additionally, they worked as a Software Engineer at TensorIoT Inc. from September 2017 to May 2019, developing applications for various industries. Samuel served as an Assistant Regional Manager Sponsorships at srnd.org from November 2017 to February 2019, promoting learning and project building at CodeDay events. Samuel had an internship as a Software Engineer at Terminus7 in July 2018, focusing on front-end development and creating a web-application called grafIA. Prior to this, they worked as a Web Developer at Bound, where they developed the original web application for joinbound.com. Samuel also gained experience in data entry for a research program at pmipreclinical, where they optimized data collection and transformation using Python scripts.

Samuel Escapa Otani's education history begins in 2013 when they attended Radnor High School for a year. Samuel then transferred to San Mateo High School in 2014 and graduated from there in 2017. After completing high school, Samuel pursued a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of San Francisco from 2017 to 2020.
