Chief Scientist & Engineer, Navigation Systems at Teledyne Marine

Mikael Bliksted Larsen's work experience includes serving as the Chief Scientist & Engineer for Navigation Systems at Teledyne Marine since 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Sonardyne International for over 16 years, where they held the position of Principal Engineer - INS and served as the Technical Lead for Aided Inertial Navigation System (AINS) Technology. Mikael Bliksted has extensive experience in subsea survey and construction, dynamic positioning, control systems engineering, robotics, and high-resolution seabed mapping sensors. Mikael has also worked as a Visiting Scientist at the Technical University of Denmark and has expertise in AUVs and Navigation Systems, particularly for navy applications. Mikael Bliksted has held senior positions at ATLAS MARIDAN, ATLAS Elektronik (BAE), and Maridan A/S, where they worked on various navigation system engineering roles.

Mikael Bliksted Larsen started their education at Hornbæk skole, where they studied from 1977 to 1986. After completing their primary education, they attended Helsingør Gymnasium from 1987 to 1990. Mikael Bliksted then pursued their higher education at DTU - Technical University of Denmark, where they obtained a Master's degree in Engineering with a focus on Electronics, Control, and Robotics from 1990 to 1996. Later, they continued their studies at the same institution and completed a doctoral degree in Electronics, Robotics, and Control from 1997 to 2001.
