Valentin Hanns

Valentin Hanns has a wealth of experience in sales and business development, particularly in the maritime and defense industries. Valentin started their career in 1997 as an Export Business Developer at ETCOMA, where they gained insight into export sales of technical products. Valentin then worked at IMA KLESSMAN as a Sales Engineer, achieving FF5m of sales and overseeing the French market. At SMCM, Valentin successfully canvassed key export markets for wiring harness manufacturers in the automotive industry and secured partnerships with VALEO, DELPHI, and TATA. Valentin then pursued an International MBA at Reims Management School before joining ECA Group as an Export Sales Engineer, generating significant revenue and establishing a CRM tool for better customer targeting. Valentin then became the Export Sales Manager, overseeing the Asian market for subsea robots dedicated to defense.

In 2010, Valentin became the Managing Director for ESFE PTE. LTD., where they successfully set up the Singapore subsidiary and expanded business development activities in the Power Electronics, Naval Simulation, and Robotic Systems sectors, generating a significant annual turnover and leading a team of five employees. Valentin then worked at iXblue as the Export Sales Director for the Robotics & Integrated Systems Division, managing worldwide business development activities and contributing to a substantial portion of the company's turnover.

Currently, Valentin works at Teledyne Marine as the Senior Director of Sales for Vehicles in the EMEA region. Valentin previously held the role of Director of Sales for Vehicles in Europe and Africa, where they successfully contributed to the company's sales growth. Through their diverse roles and experiences, Valentin has proven their expertise in sales, business development, and leadership within the maritime and defense sectors.

Valentin Hanns has a diverse education history. In 1991, they obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics & Technology from Lycée Technique du Haut-Barr in Saverne, Alsace. Following this, they pursued an Industrial Mechanics and Maintenance Technology degree, earning a D.U.T. from IUT Louis Pasteur de Strasbourg in 1996. In the same year, they also gained an Engineer's Degree in Magnetism, data processing, and GPS from the National Institute of Standards and Technology in Boulder, Colorado.

Continuing their education, Valentin attended the University of Colorado Boulder in 1996-1997 and obtained a University Diploma in Language & Technology. In 1997-1998, they pursued a Master's Degree in International Sales from Douai Business School. In 1998-1999, they studied Management at Espoo-Vantaa Polytechnic, earning a B.S. degree.

Valentin further enhanced their knowledge in the field of business and management. In 2009-2010, they completed an iMBA program focused on Corporate Governance, Strategy, and Finance at NEOMA Business School. Later, in 2014-2015, they attended Executive Transform International, specializing in Coaching.

Recently, in 2020, Valentin participated in the Driving Strategic Innovation Program at IMD.
