Hugh’s career to date has been working in different areas of housing and homelessness prevention. He holds an MSc in Housing from Cardiff University and has previously worked for Community Housing Cymru. He has spent some considerable time campaigning on behalf of homeless young people, working across a number of roles at Llamau, and is Chair of the Project Board of Tai Ffres, an innovative, youth focused housing provider.
Hugh now works at the Wales Co-Operative Centre, where he is a manager on the Communities Creating Homes programme, which seeks to support community groups to develop their own homes.
Away from the world of housing, Hugh enjoys cycling and is a passionate advocate for active travel. He’s also a big music fan, enjoys running and is trying to teach himself the piano.
