Derek Prechtl

Derek Prechtl is an accomplished senior executive with extensive experience in sales and operations, currently serving as the Senior Vice President of Sales - North America at Hagerty since April 2006, where responsibilities include driving revenue for a $600 million business channel. Prechtl has held various leadership positions within Hagerty, including Vice President roles overseeing direct channels, international motorsports, and the western United States, contributing to substantial revenue generation and operational management. Prior to Hagerty, Prechtl was the founder of Sogood Coffee LLC and served as Operations Manager at Cherry Republic, managing multiple aspects of product development and logistics. Additionally, Prechtl has a background as a professional athlete in cycling and worked as a World Cup team mechanic, supporting elite mountain bike racers. Prechtl holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from the University of Michigan.
