Kondwani C.A Ngwira is a seasoned professional in the agronomy and finance sectors, currently serving as the Head of Agronomy at Hail & Cotton since September 2023. Previously, Kondwani held positions such as Sector Manager - Food & Agribusiness at NBS Bank for a brief period in July to August 2023, and Agriculture Manager at First Capital Bank, Malawi from April 2020 to June 2023, where notable achievements included increasing the bank’s Agriculture SME lending book by 130% YoY. Kondwani's earlier experience includes roles at Japan Tobacco International, where responsibilities ranged from managing a significant portfolio of smallholder farmers to implementing sustainable agricultural practices, demonstrating strong leadership in agribusiness and agriculture finance. Kondwani’s academic qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture from Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources and several certifications in agricultural finance and financial modeling.
