Juan Camilo Gamboa Higuera

Juan Camilo Gamboa Higuera is a highly skilled professional specializing in machine learning and computer vision. Currently leading the Machine Learning team at Haiper since April 2022, Juan Camilo focuses on building foundation models for video. Previous experience includes roles as a Machine Learning Scientist and Computer Vision Researcher at SPORTLOGiQ, where Juan Camilo developed algorithms for automated camera calibration, tracking, and real-time data association. Contributions as a research assistant at McGill University involved reinforcement learning for robotics and simulation-to-robot transfer. Additional experience includes software engineering positions at Unisys Colombia and as an IT intern at Mareigua. Juan Camilo holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from McGill University and dual Bachelor's degrees in Systems and Computing Engineering and Electronics Engineering from Universidad de Los Andes.
