Nikos Kyriopoulos has extensive work experience in the technology industry, with a focus on product strategy, business development, and marketing. Nikos is currently the Vice President of Product & Technology Strategy at Haivision. Prior to this, they served as the Vice President Of Product Strategy at Haivision from January 2021 to September 2021.
In 2020, Nikos worked as a Business Development Consultant, taking on various project-based engagements that included analyzing the competitive landscape in Big Data OTT Video Analytics and driving organizational change.
Before their time at Haivision, Nikos held several roles at Media Excel, including VP of Product & Business Development, Director of Product & Program Management, and Product Marketing Manager. In these roles, they positioned the company's product lines towards emerging industry needs, managed sales-engineering communication, and oversaw marketing initiatives.
Nikos also gained experience as an Operations Management Consultant at Velonakis Laboratories and as a Technical Director/Co-Founder at Wateron Multimedia. Additionally, they worked as a Software Engineer/Architect at Lambrakis Press and as a Lecturer and Course Coordinator at the University of Athens.
Nikos began their career as a Software Engineer at the National Engineering University of Athens, where they designed and developed educational applications and performed linguistic analysis on ancient Greek literature.
Nikos Kyriopoulos has a diverse education history. Nikos completed an exchange program in 2005 at The University of Texas at Austin, where they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in General Management at McGill University.
In 2014, Nikos obtained several certificates from prestigious institutions. Nikos completed the MITx: Building Mobile Experiences course at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), the Cryptography I course at Stanford University, and the Programming Mobile Applications for Android Handheld Systems course at the University of Maryland.
Prior to their MBA studies, Nikos pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) and Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the National Technical University of Athens from 1994 to 2001.
Nikos has also obtained additional certifications throughout their career. In 2012, they became a DASHIF Professional Contributor Member at the DASH Industry Forum. In 2009, they became a SMPTE Professional Member within the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE). Furthermore, in 1998, they co-founded and became a member of the board for Green Greece, an environmental organization.
