Tarek Amr, MBA, EMD, serves as the Chief Financial Officer at Halan since July 2021, previously holding the position of Head Of Finance at valU from August 2020 to July 2021. Tarek's extensive finance experience includes roles such as Associate Director of Finance at EFG Hermes UAE LLC, Finance Manager at EFG Hermes Leasing, and Deputy Financial Planning and Budgeting Manager at Corplease. Initial financial expertise was developed as a Senior Financial Analyst at Barclays Bank and as a Financial Advisor at Primerica Financial Services. Tarek holds a Master of Business Administration from Edinburgh Business School, a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from the University of Waterloo, as well as certifications in Banking Credit and Risk Management and an Executive Management Diploma from The American University in Cairo.
