William Hakim

William Hakim is a Staff Software Engineer at Halcyon AI. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Avalanche Insights, where they led the team building the Theme Engine. William also has experience as a Senior Software Engineer at The Information, where they implemented core features and built statistical models. They previously worked as a Research Software Engineer at Harvard Kennedy School, where they built tools to analyze data and tackle disinformation in the news media. William also freelanced as a Contract Software Engineer and served as a Teaching Fellow at Harvard University. They hold a Master's Degree in Chinese Studies from the University of Oxford and a Bachelor's Degree in East Asian Studies and Computer Science from Harvard University.
