Aaron Smith

Aaron Smith is a Principal Data Platform Engineer at Halcyon since April 2024, previously serving as a Staff Software Engineer at Sevco Security where significant contributions included leading data integrations and co-inventing a patented user correlation engine. Additional experience includes roles as a Senior Data Engineer at JumpCloud, where a stream-based data platform was designed, and at IronNet, where legacy infrastructure was refactored for scalability. Previous positions as a Data Engineer at Sumo Logic and Talroo allowed for the development of real-time processing systems and the creation of the first data warehouse, respectively. Aaron Smith holds a Master of Science in Bioinformatics from The Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Genetics from Texas A&M University.
