Thomas Holten Kollin has a diverse work experience spanning various companies and research institutions. Thomas Holten started their career as a Ph.D. student and post-doc at Aarhus Universitet, where they conducted research in the field of hydrogen storage materials and catalysts. Thomas Holten also worked as a visiting Ph.D. student at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory and the Max Planck Institute for Metals Research, where they focused on investigating different materials for energy storage. Later, they joined Haldor Topsøe as a research scientist and eventually became a principal scientist. Thomas Holten then moved on to Umicore as a senior manager. In 2023, they held the role of R&D Synthesis Lead, Battery Materials at Topsoe. Currently, they hold the position of Associate Manager at Novo Nordisk.
Thomas Holten Kollin completed their Bachelor's degree in Mathematics at Fredericia Gymnasium from 2000 to 2003. Thomas Holten then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Nanotechnology at Aarhus University from 2004 to 2012.
