Angelica Neira

Graduate Civil Engineer at Halff

Angelica Neira has a diverse range of work experience in the field of civil engineering. Angelica began their career in 2015 as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, where they collected water samples and performed field sampling protocols. In 2016, they took on the role of a Teaching Assistant at the same university, assisting with course preparation and materials. Additionally, in 2016, Angelica worked as a Summer Research Intern at the Texas A&M Transportation Institute, conducting research on recycled concrete.

From 2017 to 2020, Angelica served as a Graduate Research Assistant at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. During this time, they worked on various research projects related to construction activities and the utilization of hazardous materials in concrete. Angelica'sresponsibilities included operating scientific apparatus, writing and editing materials for publication, and analyzing data.

Most recently, Angelica joined Halff Associates in 2020 as a Graduate Civil Engineer. In this role, they are involved in land development and public works projects, including civil designs, plan reviews, and map and record activities. Angelica'swork also includes involvement in proposed developments and subdivision improvements.

Angelica Neira completed their education with a Master's degree in Engineering/Industrial Management from The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley in 2019. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley in 2018. Before attending The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, Angelica Neira pursued a Bachelor of Engineering - BE in Civil Engineering from Purdue University from 2015 to 2017.
