Courtney Chance

Courtney Chance, P.E. has a diverse work experience in the field of civil engineering. Courtney currently works as a Civil Engineer at Halff, starting in May 2023. Prior to this role, Courtney worked as a Graduate Civil Engineer at Halff from September 2022 to May 2023.

Before joining Halff, Courtney served as a Civil Engineer I at AECOM from July 2019 to September 2022. Prior to that, they had a role as a Resident Assistant at Southern Methodist University from August 2017 to May 2019.

Courtney also gained valuable experience as a Transportation Intern at LJA Engineering, Inc from February 2017 to May 2019 and as a Transportation Intern at AECOM from June 2018 to August 2018. In addition, they worked as a Student Assistant at the SMU History Department from August 2016 to February 2017.

Courtney's early professional experience includes internships at One Jump in the summer of 2016 and at Amegy Bank of Texas in the summer of 2015.

Courtney Chance, P.E. obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from Southern Methodist University, where they studied from 2015 to 2019. Courtney also holds additional certifications including the Professional Engineer (PE) designation, which was obtained from the Texas Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors in May 2023. Prior to earning the PE designation, Courtney obtained the Engineer In Training certification from the same institution in June 2019.
