Graduate Civil Engineer at Halff

Jack Blarr has a diverse work experience, starting with their current role as a Graduate Civil Engineer at Halff Associates since 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Field Engineer at The Whiting-Turner Contracting Company from 2020 to 2023, where they managed trade partners, implemented safety regulations, and oversaw quality management programs. Jack also gained experience as a Student Technical Employee at Penn State University from 2018 to 2019 while pursuing their engineering degree, and as an Intern at Jacobs in 2017, where they worked on a major project for the rework of the Garden State Parkway. Jack began their professional career as a Host at Outback Steakhouse from 2013 to 2016, where they honed their communication, organization, and teamwork skills.

Jack Blarr attended Penn State University from 2016 to 2020, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. In addition to their degree, Jack has also obtained several certifications. In April 2021, they received certification in CPR/AED/First Aid from the National Safety Council. In March 2021, they completed the Health Care Construction Workshop offered by the American Society of Health Care Engineering. In January 2021, they obtained the OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification from the US Department of Labor OSHA. Lastly, in April 2018, Jack obtained certification in Wilderness/Remote Location First Aid from NOLS Wilderness Medicine.
