Kavita Khanna

Kavita Khanna, P.Eng., MBA, currently serves as the Director of Operations Services at the Halifax Regional Centre for Education (HRCE), leading a department with an annual operations budget exceeding $100 million and overseeing capital planning for 137 schools using data-driven methods. Previous roles include board member at Develop Nova Scotia and committee member for the Halifax peninsula planning committee, as well as partner at SunRay Consulting, which focuses on process efficiencies and project management in the construction and engineering sectors. Prior experience encompasses project lead at Terrapure Environmental and project manager/engineer at Inland Technologies, where responsibilities included project estimation, compliance with building codes, and managing the bidding process. Kavita holds an MBA from Saint Mary's University, along with various qualifications in project management and process engineering from Dalhousie University.
