Helane Morrison

Helane Morrison is the General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at Hall Capital Partners LLC, a position held since 2007, where leadership encompasses legal and compliance functions for an SEC-registered investment adviser, alongside roles as Managing Director, Executive Committee member, and Secretary of the Board of Directors. Prior to this, Morrison served as the Regional Director for the San Francisco Regional Office of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission from 1996 to 2007, overseeing a 100-person team responsible for securities enforcement and regulatory matters. In earlier legal practice at Howard, Rice, Nemerovski, Canady, Falk & Rabkin from 1986 to 1996, Morrison specialized in business litigation and the defense of private securities actions, achieving partner status in 1991. Education includes a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism from Northwestern University and a Juris Doctor from the University of California, Berkeley - School of Law.
