Hall for Cornwall
Hall for Cornwall is home to the Cornwall Playhouse, the Duchy's leading entertainment venue for theatre, music, dance, opera & comedy and Cornwall's only largescale venue. As a social enterprise and charity, we're backers of creative brilliance. Not only do we bring great shows to Cornwall from the West-End, Broadway, Royal Shakespeare Company, National Theatre and more, we also enthusiastically support local creatives and community champions. Our Get Creative team partner with local schools and organisations to support their creative development. We pioneer projects that let people feel the power of performance. We're passionate about supporting artists and practitioners who are creating original work, and offer footholds for the next generation of talent to get their unique perspective out to the wider world. In our HUSA workspace, we house creative businesses forging the industry's future, including Cornwall Pride, Black Voices Cornwall, Wildworks, Tecgirls and Creative UK. We’re constantly amazed by what our audiences, collaborators, participants and teams make possible. Our 1352 capacity venue is also home to the Green Room Café and Playhouse Bar, open for coffee, cake, cocktails, and creative workshops. Keen to find out more? Come and walk our Ope Way, open most days 11am-4pm, for you to wander from Lemon Quay to Boscawan Street, and explore the behind-the-scenes magic of the Cornwall Playhouse.
