John W. Travis

John W. Travis is a partner at Hall Prangle & Schoonveld. Prior to joining Hall Prangle & Schoonveld, Mr. Travis was an associate attorney at Dowd & Dowd, Ltd. from April 2013 to June 2016. Mr. Travis has experience in successfully defending catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases with demands ranging from $480,000 to $2,000,000 from investigation phase to resolution in both state and federal courts. In addition, they have deposed (discovery and evidence) over 40 plaintiffs, witnesses, treating physicians and retained experts. Mr. Travis has also mediated multiple of complex personal injury cases with demands in excess of $500,000. Prior to their work at Dowd & Dowd, Ltd., Mr. Travis was an associate attorney Giamanco & Ooink from December 2010 to April 2013.

Mr. Travis began their legal career as a clinical student at DePaul University College of Law: Center for Justice in Capital Cases from December 2009 to May 2010. John then served as a law clerk at Krislov & Associates from June 2008 to May 2010.

John W. Travis has a J.D. from DePaul University College of Law and a B.A. in International Relations from Michigan State University, which they received with honors.
