Steve Schuman is a seasoned financial professional with extensive experience in venture capital and equity research. Currently serving as Managing Director at HALLEY Venture Partners since January 2017, Steve focuses on investments within the legal cannabis market. Previously, Steve held roles as Senior Analyst/PM for Agriculture & Chemicals at Passport Capital and as Owner & Senior Equity Analyst at Lafayette Research, providing insights into the chemicals and specialty materials sectors. Steve's earlier positions include Senior Equity Analyst at New Vernon Associates and Prudential Equity Group, as well as engineering and marketing roles at multiple firms, including The Dow Chemical Company and General Electric. Steve's educational background includes an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley, and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from The Ohio State University.
