Sam Meier teaches in the Visual Communications Department at the University of Kansas and is a senior designer with the Global Trends and Innovation Studio at Hallmark in Kansas City, Missouri. As an MA student in the Kress Foundation Department of Art History, Meier studies Black Art and Design alongside the French Influence on the Harlem Renaissance. With a diverse background in design, Meier has contributed to various organizations, such as Kansas City PBS and Beveridge Seay, and has received multiple awards for their work. Additionally, Meier has held leadership roles in the Kansas City Chapter of AIGA, focusing on diversity, equity, inclusion, and education in the design community.
