Trevan McGee has a diverse work experience that spans various industries. Trevan started their career as a Video Game Reviewer for Lawrence.com magazine in 2006 and later became a Copy Chief for the University Daily Kansan in 2007. In 2008, they worked as a Web Editor for Motorcycle Classics and as a Web Producer for Ink magazine. From 2008 to 2010, Trevan served as a Web Producer for The Kansas City Star, where they managed daily content updates, edited stories, and wrote film/music reviews. Trevan then worked as a News Editor for Linux New Media AG in 2010 and as an Entertainment Editor for Lawrence.com from 2010 to 2012.
In 2012, Trevan joined Apple as an At-Home Advisor for a short period before transitioning to Sprint. At Sprint, they first served as a Web Content Specialist II, writing content for Sprint.com. Trevan then became a Creative Producer for YellowFan Studios, producing creative projects such as billboards, radio ads, and videos.
Currently, Trevan is working at Hallmark Cards as an Art Director since April 2020. Prior to this role, they were a Creative Strategist responsible for conceptualizing, writing, producing, and approving photo and video creative for Hallmark Gold Crown. Trevan'screative work was seen on various platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and Hallmark's emails.
Trevan McGee attended The University of Kansas from 2002 to 2007, earning a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Journalism and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Film/Cinema/Video Studies. Additionally, they obtained a dual degree in Journalism with a focus on News and Information track and a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre and Film with a specialization in Film Studies.
