Bettina Heidecker

VP of Operations & Quality at Halo Labs

Bettina joined Halo Labs with a shared expertise in quality management and QC development as well as a broad hands-on research and product development background in both academic and corporate environments. She graduated as Biological Technical Assistant in Germany and started her career path as a researcher at the prestigious Max-Planck-Institute for Biochemistry in Martinsried before joining the Suzanne Pfeffer Lab at Stanford University followed by Zyomyx, a proteomics start-up company.

Among her accomplishment during her 15-year tenure at ForteBio, she developed essential assays and surface chemistries for the early Octet platform before spear-heading the development of a range of consumable products. She later led all Quality Operations at ForteBio and was responsible for building and managing the Quality Control / Quality Engineer team. She was also the leading contributor for ForteBio’s ISO 9001 certification under Molecular Devices.
