Kaz Shimizu

Kaz Shimizu has extensive experience in investment and business development within the technology sector. Currently serving as グループ長 at KDDI Corporation since April 2018, Kaz leads the "KDDI MUGENLABO" accelerator program, focusing on collaboration between enterprises and startups in Japan. Kaz has been actively investing in various innovative companies, including Halo Neuroscience, Jibo, Inc., August Home, Inc., Ossia Inc., Edmodo, and Plumzi, Inc., through the KDDI Open Innovation Fund. Previous roles include Investment Director and Investment Manager at KDDI America, Inc., where Kaz was involved in investment and business development, as well as Project Manager at KDDI Corporation, managing multiple mobile web services. Kaz holds a Bachelor's degree in Environment and Information from Keio University.
