Ana Esteve Cerqueira is an experienced professional in business operations and industrial engineering. Currently serving as Head of Business Operations at HALO Space since November 2022, Ana holds significant previous experience at Urbaser, where roles included Business Operations Manager and various management positions in waste treatment operations from November 2016 to November 2022. Responsibilities included budget management, operational optimization, environmental management, and staff supervision. Prior positions include an industrial engineer at Acciona Facility Services, and internships at Oxford University Press and Gerdau, focusing on educational support and maintenance strategies, respectively. Ana earned a Licenciatura en Ingeniería Industrial from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid and participated in an Erasmus program at Politecnico di Milano, specializing in Materials Engineering and Nanotechnology.

HALO Space
HALO Space is a global Near Space tourism company, which will offer zero-emission commercial flights of 25-40 km altitude allowing to see the curvature of the planet Earth for 4-6 hours. This will be possible thanks to its aerospace balloon that will be equipped with a pressurized capsule with capacity for 8 passengers and a pilot, and which haspanoramic windows providing breath-taking 360-degree views. Founded in 2021, HALO Space was initially incubated by the prestigious consulting firm Arthur D.Littleis in its Breakthrough Incubator program. Having secured 3 million euros in seed funding, HALO operates independently and it's led by industry veterans Carlos Mira, CEO, and Alberto Castrillo, Chief Technology Officer (CTO). HALO Space is working with a consortium of top-tier aerospace companies, including CT Engineering Group, Aciturri, GMV and TIFR, in the development of its Space Flight program.
