Christopher Thomas

Christopher Thomas has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Christopher is currently working at 1X as the Vice President of Production Engineering, a role they have held since August 2022. Prior to this, they were a Senior Application Engineer at 1X from April 2021 to August 2022.

Before joining 1X, Christopher was the Owner of Firemoth, LLC, a company specializing in finding solutions to unique challenges in manufacturing, hardware design, and software development. Christopher started Firemoth, LLC in January 2021 and continues to be involved with the company.

Christopher also worked at Linear Labs Inc. as an Industrial Automation Engineer from September 2020 to April 2021.

Additionally, Christopher has experience working as a Barista at Starbucks from June 2014 to June 2015, a Systems Integration Specialist and Software Developer at HBS Systems from May 2011 to October 2013, a Satellite Operations Supervisor at WellComm, LLC from November 2007 to May 2009, and a Nuclear Cruise Missile Technician in the United States Air Force from November 2003 to December 2007.

Christopher Thomas has an educational background in computer software engineering, embedded electronics engineering, and micro robotics. In 2020, they obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in Computer Software Engineering from Western Governors University. Prior to that, from 2004 to 2007, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Embedded Electronics Engineering at Minot State University. Christopher also holds an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Micro Robotics from Tarrant County College.

In addition to their formal education, Christopher has obtained several certifications. In 2019, they received the FANUC Robotics 2D and 3D Vision Certification as well as the FANUC Robotics Material Handling Certification from FANUC America Corporation. Christopher also holds a MIG Welding Certification, although the specific institution and date of attainment are not provided.
