Khizar Mohamed

Khizar Mohamed is a Robotics Software and Controls Engineer currently employed at 1X since October 2024, following a tenure at Boardwalk Robotics from January 2023 to October 2024. At Boardwalk Robotics, Khizar developed control interfaces and conducted simulations for humanoid robot actuators. Previous experience includes serving as a Graduate Student Researcher at Worcester Polytechnic Institute and as a Mechatronics R&D engineer at MIT Media Lab, where software and control algorithms for a CNC-based robotic track system were engineered. Earlier roles include Mechanical Engineer L1 at ReadyDock Inc., focusing on mechanical design improvements for UVC disinfection systems. Khizar holds a Master’s degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Hartford.
