Manuel Yves Galliker has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Manuel Yves started their career as a Group Leader Fighter Aircraft Team in Schweizer Armee in 2014. Later, they worked as an IT Support and Consulting at Projekt Neptun from 2015 to 2018. In 2017, they joined ftero as a Student Coach and then became the Teamleader Controls and Mechatronics, External Relations. Manuel Yves worked as a Hardware-Development Intern and later as a Development Engineer at Wingtra in 2018. In 2019, they worked as a Working Student Software Engineer at Wingtra. Starting from 2020, they worked at ETH Zürich as a Teaching Assistant in Robot Dynamics and also completed a Semester Thesis on Data-Driven Dynamics Modelling Using Flight Logs. In 2021, they were a Visiting Student Researcher and completed their Master Thesis at Caltech. Manuel Yves then worked as a Civil Service Research Assistant at RELab ETH Zürich in 2022. Manuel Yves is currently working at Caterra as a Technical Consultant, Student Thesis Supervisor and also as a Leading Controls and Electro-Optical Engineer, Business Development. In September 2022, they will start as a Senior Robotic Controls Engineer at 1X.

Manuel Yves Galliker pursued their education in the field of Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Robotics, Systems and Control. Manuel Yves completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from ETH Zürich, where they enrolled from 2014 to 2018. Afterward, they continued their academic journey at the same institution and obtained a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, specializing in Robotics, Systems and Control, from 2019 to 2022.

In addition to their studies at ETH Zürich, Manuel Yves Galliker expanded their knowledge and experience by participating in a research program.
