Chris Makely

Chris Makely has a diverse work experience in the pharmaceutical and biotech industry. Chris is currently serving as the Sr. Director and Head of Drug Substance Manufacturing and Operations at Halozyme, Inc. Prior to this, they held the role of Sr. Director - Outsourced Manufacturing - Biologics at Gilead Sciences. Chris also worked at Novartis as the Site Head of Manufacturing Sciences & Technology for Singapore Bioproduction Operations. Before that, they worked as a Director of Operations at AES (Automation Engineering Systems, Inc.). Chris has also worked at Gilead Sciences as an Associate Director in Technical Operations and Tech Transfer. Chris Makely has held a variety of roles in different companies throughout their career, showcasing their expertise in manufacturing and operations in the pharmaceutical industry.

Chris Makely earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Biochemistry from Springfield College, where they studied from 1994 to 1998.
